I have never found any use in insider buys and sells. Insiders it seems are subject to the same prejudices that the rest of us are. More than once have I seen insiders dump stock at the ultimate lows and buy before things fall completely apart. I have learned in retailing to stick with those who are succeeding (SPLS) and avoid those who are struggling (ODP). It seems that the old maxim, "success begets success" is proven over and over again in this area. Picking laggards with hopes that they will take the lead is a losing strategy, in my opinion. I will stick with SPLS in the office product segment. They are growing while their competition is struggling. Good luck on your investments.
