B.B./OT. Agree 100% that North/Central Pa is a great area.

Met Mrs. Patch not far south of Wellsboro. Back in the 70s and early 80s lived in Lycoming Cty. But, there's a lot more snow and cold temps there than in Cen and southern Ohio or southern Illinois (which also have some great semi-wild areas).

Southern Ohio has some areas with free NG to surface owners from old low production wells on the property! I ought to grab some of that ground while it's still affordable and put up a cabin<g>.

Bull--some of best bass and walleye fishing in Pa is off an island my family owns on the Juniata near Lewistown.Let me know if you ever canoe there again. Be proud to have you stay there-- Frank

BigBull- I don't know what parts of NC/SC you're referring to - but from where I'm at most coastal areas are 4 - 4 1/2+ hours away from the mountains. It is nice though to travel into the highlands during a hot/humid spell and experience the 10 degree or more temperature difference elevation brings.
