Iman - CIEN in on a classical split run IMHO.

ex-date Sep 19.
Prices are on a linear uptrend on a log scale.
Sustainable? Dunno. Re-entered Aug 24 @ 197 1/2.
I expect this split run to follow the book, that is a post-split pullback. This one also can happen the session or two sessions before.

So I am holding until Fri Sep 15, or break of the 10DMA, whichever comes first. (10DMA is currently your $25 below).
Profit taking certainly is a major risk after this run.
Taking profit is one thing, shorting this stock is another. I wouldn't be too confident.
Also, I am not certain that I would buy some back in the post-split pullback. (Classical split behaviour is a reaction rally to new highs after correction).

IMHO, and in the case this rally (even if short lived) is for real, it would be wise to look for strong midcaps.
