The Web site of the International Biometric Industry Association has some basic information about biometrics as well as links to other biometrics sites:
ibia.org

Microsolft and I/O Software Strengthen Industry Adoption of Biometics - article
iosoftware.com

Sept. 4/00 Canadian Business Magazine's article re HCI.to/HCIFF (mentioning their intenion to IPO within 18 months from now:
canadianbusiness.com

The first link provided has a very simple overview of the biometrics industry (slide show presention) which you can download in PDF format. - especially interesting
is the number of companies involved in facial recognition technology, vs. fingerprint, voice and other security applications. Market has enormous potential applications.

As I posted earlier, IBM is currently evaluating HCI's
(they just renamed themselves ACSYS) technology and Orcle has expressed an interest.

Not sure if we should be referring to HCIFF as a penny stock ..undiscovered gem seems more like it ...
