Nice post.

I bought KMAG over $4 a few months so, and I haven't been thrilled with the performance.

But I see reason for optimism. They have moved operations overseas to cut costs and they are taking out HMTT to remove some competition. And there are rumors that one of the Asian competitors and/or IBM may give up on the platter business.

I agree that there are some exciting new markets opening up for the hard disk manufacturers. I expect the Tivo/Replay market to explode in the next few years.

MIKE

"But the high cost of shipping, due to oil prices being sustained at high levels could also be a factor."
Remember though, most airlines and shipping companies saw this coming, and hedged against a rise, common practice here.
