Ben Stein and Regis Philbin as the moderators: Presidential debates
NBC Meet the press, Larry King Live, Commission debates, Foggedabowdit. There is this back and forth between Bush and Gore on these presidential debates. Bush questions Gore's trustworthiness. The Bush crowd is worried about his congenital weakness on debates, Bush's tripping on trillions etc. Let us make it easy on him. We are in prosperous times. We aren't worried about anything. Let us have some fun time electing the next president.
Let us go soft on Bush. No Tim Ruppert. Let us put Regis Philbin in his place. Let us put Bush and Gore in "Who wants to be the next President" TV show. No commission debates in the present format period. No Larry King. Let us put Ben Stein as the moderator, Bush and Gore as Presidential contestants with sound-proof booths, ear muffs etc. The winner takes the white house and the Air Force One.
The winner will be next president. Let Ben give the questions and answers to both Bush and Gore in advance . The
one who gets the higher score in the allotted time gets the rent-free White House for the next 4 years. If both get all
the answers correct, let Ben put a tiebreaker question. Show them and ask them to memorize the spelling of a word. The tiebreaker question is to spell "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious " without hesitation in one breath.
The winner takes all - the presidency, the White House, the Air Force One etc. This is more fun than the proposed
debates. Nobody wants to see an aggressive Gore and bruised Bush in these debates. Let us make it America's fun
time in Presidential debates and elections. Go for Regis and Ben as the moderators.

National debate would turn the presidential campaign to a huge preference (i.e. 10-15%) for one candidate. A similar
debate by the running mates would turn it to an overwhelming (i.e. landslide) choice. Such national debates will uncover
who are the good old boys.
