But all the industry "seige" that is going on is exactly what happened to QCOM in 1996-1998, except not quite as bad (if you can believe it). So the more people who line up to bash RMBS the more you can be certain the Rambus wins in the end. This said, I'm looking for another FUD related kick to dump RMBS into a pit. Don't know if it will happen, but if the propoganda from the industry keeps flying we may just get it again. WHAT MAKES ME ABSOLUTELY CERTAIN (the most I can be without being on the inside) that this is industry bunk is a quote from an executive at Samsung to the EE Times in some article a week or two ago where he says and I paraphrase "that the best we can ever really do with RDRAM is get within 30-35% of SDRAM or DDR prices." Now Samsung is on record stating their goal is within 5% by early 2002. Did something material change over a few weeks time? Yes, the industry attacking RMBS over SDRAM and DDR royalties. Study Qualcomm from 1996-1998. Study the Gorilla Game which definitively states that the established players will attack, they will chide, they will do anything not to allow the new Gorilla's architecture take over. All the while, if we get real lucky here folks, the stock price will again tank. Shorts will again rule the day and then we can bide our time smirking all the way. Tinker P.S. No litigation is absolutely certain. 100% ain't the case here. But given the propoganda campaign, the collateral evidence suggests the odds are pretty darn high that RMBS is not playing a losing hand. If they were then nobody would be putting in this much effort to discredit them. My official opinion on the record after a week or so of review. JulieBB and Tays, be sure to quote this in the future if I equivocate
