Flapjack,........tell me why any candidate would dodge debating their rival unless they know that the listeners can see right through the phoneybaloney of the likes of Bush. This debate issue will backfire on Bush causing him to lose more ground in the polls........people like Bob Novack feel that Bush should push the issues not the rhetoric.

There is something strange about a grown man insisting that a debate is not a debate because the format is less formal. If Gore and Bush interact, if they can raise objections and question one another, it is a debate.
