We'll I guess there could be an illogical God who just messes with us and has such a frail ego that He would punish A and praise B. Who are we to know the mind of God?

But, really I see little evidence for God's secular interest in matters of morality. Do porno theaters get hit more often by lightning than do churches of comparable shape. I really doubt it. If someone could show me some evidence of God's opposition to non-believers, maybe I could surmise that such a God exists. But really, that's not how my vision of a higher consciousness would work.
