Radical conservatives, like Reagan/Bush want to privatize everything. They seem to have an anathema to all government sponsored programs and projects that help make life a more beautiful place to live in, like support for Public Education, the Arts (ie, the beautiful Kennedy Center by you), Museums, Scientific and Technological Research for the Betterment of Society, to name just a few.

Clinton/Gore, on the other hand, are moderate in the sense that they support private enterprise and some publicly sponsored government programs. A mixture of the two is what makes one a moderate. Relying exclusively on one over the other makes one an extremist or radical. And that doesn't mean I support Welfare(for people able to work) or Handouts either because I never have.
