Dave, <And I abhor the incivility that's crept into this thread>

What amazes me is the fact that most of the uncivilized posters on this thread are many years older than I am. Who said youth was wasted on the young? ;-)

Dave,

What's your real motivation for wasting so much time here?

I'm not wasting any more time than you are.

I am an engineer who understands the performance impact of DRAM latency. I realized about 2 years ago that Intel was making some serious errors in their Rambus stance. I made a lot of posts to that effect on the Intel and AMD threads.

Since then I did a DRDRAM based graphics design (for which DRDRAM seemed quite appropriate), and am currently working on a CPU which will likely be connected to SDRAM or DDR.

The outcome of these Rambus wars has little material impact on me. I think it is the best engineering soap opera in town, and I enjoy the banter.

Dave,

In the end, wouldn't you like everyone to be more respectful of your opinions?

All I'm looking for is an honest discussion. No one ever refutes what I'm saying, they just call me a liar.

I'm still waiting for someone to provide a link to any misinformation I have posted on SI.
