Hi chic hearne; Apparently, HP has also scrubbed RDRAM out of its desktop offerings. It is getting harder and harder to find someone still selling i820 based machines out there.

Re posting information about people on the internet. The reason for Scumbria's passing that link was to show that richard surckla was not a person to be trusted with an opinion on memory. But this sort of thing could easily be done by going back a few months and reading through the guy's posts.

If richard surckla wants to post his personal information on the net, then let him. Just because it is there is no reason that it has to be brought onto the thread, what is the purpose? There are just some tactics that I find offensive when used, regardless of who uses it, or why. This is not war or love. Anything does not go.

You didn't mention it, but if richard surckla had personal information on Scumbria he would undoubtedly post it, I believe. In that sense, richard surckla complaining about Scumbria is a case of the pot calling the kettle names. But what's next, should we post richard surckla's home address, phone number, mother's maiden name and social security number?

I didn't see richard surckla complain about Scumbria, maybe I missed it. Was he involved with outing Auric Goldfinger on this thread? My recollection is hazy. But what happened in the past doesn't matter to me. Some things are just wrong, and I can't in good conscience let them go by without commenting. Otherwise it would be implied that I approved, and I do not.

We all knew that richard surkla didn't know cr@p about the memory business long before we knew he sold insurance for a living. I think he even told us that he sold insurance. Big deal.

P.S. I guess if I were here to convince bulls to take their profits (or cut their losses) I would say "Great! Another point for our side!" But I'm not. I'm here to have fun, and say "I told you so" after RDRAM bites the dust. I don't see any reason to deliberately violate what ethical standards I've been able to inculcate in myself in order to make a point.

We all make mistakes. When we make them, we say "sorry" and move on. Unless we are bulls, in which case we merely move on. (G) (That was a joke, the bulls here do sometimes admit their errors, though not often. Look for the half full glasses and things will seem a lot better around here.)
