Elmer and Tony, OTOTOT The southern part of Israel is mostly arid desert land (Negev desert), so is part of eastern Israel bordering Jordan. Naturally, Tel Aviv, Jaffa, Haifa and Akko (near Lebanon) are all on the Mediterranean sea. The northern region (Sea of Galilee, Nazareth, Golan heights) is covered with lush green mountains and hills. We even ventured to Jordan's famed Wadi Rum where Lawrence of Arabia once lived and later the movie filmed. Unforgettable desert scene - even more hauntingly beautiful than the Gobi. Ibexx
