Anyone know of any publicly traded Patent Law firms....

LOL!!!

O.T.???

LG Files Patent Violation Charges Against US, Taiwanese Cos.

LG Electronics said yesterday that it has filed patent violation suits against five American and Taiwanese companies with federal courts in Virginia and New Jersey.

LG officials said the companies, including DTK and Everex of the United States and Asustek of Taiwan, have been using LG's PCI (peripheral components interconnect) bus technology without prior approval or agreements.

``The technology is essential in producing computers and negotiations for technical licensing have failed, thus leaving LG with no choice but to go to court,'' one LG official said.

He said some 30 companies in the United States, Taiwan, Europe and Japan have been illegitimately using the technology and LG has repeatedly warned them that they are violating its patent.

LG currently has some 200 patents concerning the structure of computers and how they operate and the PCI bus technology is a vital part of designing and producing personal computers.

In addition to the PC manufacturer, LG is also sending out correspondence to large computers, including Cisco Systems and Silicon Graphics, to ask them to formally license the technology.

``Should we be able to win the patent violation suits, we stand to earn millions of dollars in royalties every year,'' the official said, adding that Intel recently won a similar case, thus making prospects bright for LG.

vc21... "PS - This post is for those that have Chic on ignore."

As long as you posted to Ian you shouldn't have any trouble with the ignores.

vc21... Isn't there something coming up in October in Vegas?

Thanks VC - I would have missed it
Since many people have many on their ignore lists,
one has to be careful who a reply is to.

As much as I am a fan of the Bilow factor
I now have BILOW, Dan, and Chic on ignore

I do not intend to try and takeover this thread.
That would not be in my best interest.
I am open to all viepoints.
I am not open to bashing or insults.

If we collectively can agree to stop receiving posts from people that continually bash, insult others, or post the same FUD over and over, these people will go away.

My 3 candidates are above. I suggest we start there, and if anyone feels strongly insulted then point it out and maybe the majority of us can work out what to do. If anyone feels my candidates are wrong, state the reason and I will consider it.

If anyone has not tried IGNORE, I say try it you will like it.
