Mary: Whose business is Dell anyway?
There are 5 major stakeholders here.
Shareholders, Management, Employees, Customers, and Corporate Structure.
As shareholders yours and my interest will normally lies with shareholder interest.
There is no need to believe in somebody's words or live by expectations.
It is the results that count.
I don't know what was the reason for that one day jump last week. There was nothing in the news that makes that day different from others.
Looking at today, market knows best. It will wait for the kid to deliver.
It is amazing that CMGI which going to lose $5/shr. this year is commanding $7 more than Dell today. Does that mean CMGI shareholders trust in Withrel is more than Dell shareholders trust in the kid?
