Well, that basically sums up my skepticism. I'm not afraid to sit on the side lines until there IS a clear direction.

How is spring 2000 the same as fall 1997? In 1997, the indexes went down in unison and then sprang right back. I'd hardly call the action this summer a rally and even then, only the NASDAQ got really hit.

Either way, I am out except for a few well placed trades here and there. If the market zooms ahead and I miss out on some of it, I'll survive.
