I have watched the MM's in QCOM today...its clear to me the MM's have kept a lid on the Q today by hitting small bids to down tick the stock to keep it here so some big institutions and they themselves can get in by buying on a larger offer than the bid traded..they are buying calls too to keep from tipping their hands... looks like a major accumulation to this old boy..MM opened it higher to get some offers going by the early daytrade short sellers...MM's won't be able to mask their actions much longer in the Q. Of course I could be wrong but I have seen this play book before, either good news or upgrades are on the way I bet.

The MM in QCOM even took the price down into this mornings "opening gap"...a very "technically correct thing to do to fetch a few more shares and also an excellent thing to have out of the way once the MM's want to let her run...perhaps we are imagining things but with the option activity we see today its painting an interesting picture...very few Sept 65 calls going on the bid side..almost all on the ask...also Dr. J. is scheduled on "Power Lunch"next Tues on CNBC...Dr. J loves to be Santa.

Voltage: Games the Houses Play....new comedy;
My favourite stock AMCC got downgraded by David Wong of Paine Weber but it has a new price target...HUH!!??###@@@

<<07:54 ET Applied Micro (AMCC) 204 3/16: PaineWebber downgrading to ATTRACTIVE from BUY, citing valuation. Raising price target to $230 from $210 because of value added by pending acquisition.>>

Just some more old fashioned Jesse James method of making money. Jeeezz I know it needs a breather but this is so blatant.

Thanks for letting me vent!!
