Diamond Jim, I am lied to every day. I am lied to by fund managers, analysts, short sellers, hired consultants, engineers, people on Internet bulletin boards, et. al. That is a fact of life. You are going to be lied to in the business world, and it will happen a lot. We've all got to deal with it unfortunately. And Wall Street isn't too different from the rest of the business world. The last place you'll see a lie is in the 10-K, 10-Q, and proxy statement. Those are the last places you'll see a lie because people can go to jail if they lie there. You might see misleading information there, thus you need to read with a critical eye. Those three documents are the cornerstones of my security analysis. All other information should be considered suspect until confirmed by a highly reliable source. I feel that I've lowered my standards sufficiently. It has aided my returns significantly.
