hi tom:

the stock has increased in value over the past few weeks as i feel that word must have leaked out that the company was approached by potential suitors. nothing has changed fundamentally in terms of share price. i await thursday's CC to find out what this "buyout" is all about.

Tom,

We're all here. Been quiet cause we've loaded up at the low and simply waiting for Geac's rich assets to be realized by the market. As I've mentioned in my previous posts, despite the company having reported last quarter below analysts expectations, the reality is that the stock price was too cheap in relation to its real market value (see past posts on market valuation). With today's announcement, the market suddenly woke up to realize that if sold, the total company can fetch much higher than the stock price. The estimate is that it could realistically fetch $18 to $20 on the low end, and up to $28 in the high end. At today's closing price $12.75, it is still inexpensive, with room for further appreciation.
