Database growth has been very good lately for ORCL, so those numbers should be solid. (Last quarter probably was just a change in the way sales were managed.)

As to the deadline, I thought that ORCL was going to destroy SEBL within a year starting 2 years ago.

My impression is that Henley is a straight-arrow, and he's certainly rich enough that he could quit working, so I think that we can believe the quarterly numbers. You just have to know how to interpret LE's remarks, which fall into the categories of telling the truth, wishful thinking, hyperbole, and those about which Henley has to later say, "I have no idea what he was talking about." The real mystery is what pants pocket the take money from to give it to CRM...

Let's see, was it last quarter they predicted passing sebl within 12 months?

I've lost track of how many quarters they've said that. I'm pretty sure they said three times last year that they would surpass Siebel this year. Yeah, right.
