I think the diffence between Acting and BS-ing is intent. <raised eyebrows> now that should provoke quite the lecture from an attorney!!! <ggg>

I never give lectures .... you must have me confused with someone else.

If I understand your distinction correctly, acting involves the intentional creation or projection by the actor or actress of a false impression, or at least an impression which is fictional. BS-ing, on the other hand, must not be intentional by your way of thinking. So BS-ing must come naturally, and therefore be excusable.

BTW, did you see "The Kid", the Bruce Willis/Disney movie that was out over the summer? Whenever I see a story about PR firms or mention of BS-ing, I think of the scenes in that movie where Bruce Willis tries to explain to the kid what it is he does for a living. And the scene where the kid finally figures it out for himself.
