Of course an oscilloscope image cannot be worst case, except, perhaps, when you prototype out of spec parts. They have lots of examples of that, and plenty of o-scope traces. These engineers are not morons, there are a lot more companies involved with DDR than ever got involved with RDRAM. There are a lot more DDR chipsets coming out than RDRAM chipsets, and a lot more memory makers have announced DDR memory chips than have announced RDRAM memory chips.
