Deja vu! The latest trend on Wall Street is to downgrade in the face of excellent news, such as the last few impressive semiconductor book-to-bill ratios--like today's. Not too long ago, a Salomon Smith Barney analyst did this. Well heck, it worked for him...and his clients to get in stocks nice and low--so why shouldn't the other analysts try it?!?!

Of course there is always a chance any company will run into an unanticipated drop in demand! But how likely is this in the second half of the year when it comes to high tech? Not very.

So the next mindset may be the "counter-counter" common sense--which says good news is truly good news.
