(Nasdaq: ENTG - news), a materials integrity management company, today announced that it has received a $1 million order for its F300 300 mm front-opening unified pods (FOUPs). The F300 was chosen as the primary FOUP to be used in a new 300 mm wafer fab with installation beginning in August. Based on product performance and reliability, cost-of-ownership advantages and positive feedback from original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), Entegris won a competitive bid to be the primary supplier for its F300 FOUP. In addition, Entegris' extensive OEM program and wide range of service and support offerings provided a strong competitive advantage over other wafer-handling vendors that were being considered.
