Roebear,

I have Albert Jay Nock's "State of the Union". His style is great and the his social criticism biting.

cheers, Seppo

I am sorry that I pointed out Mr. Fant's inconsistencies here. He has already taken to insulting people on the Talisman thread because he ran out of arguments and no one would believe the "facts" he made up. But I should have just left him alone.

I am much more interested in the price of oil and gas and the companies than in discussing politics, but it is true that I am not much interested in seeing a faint carbon copy of the first George Bush installed as a president.

OFF TOPIC --- Albert Jay Nock

Roebear, I had to jump in to second your recommendation of Nock.
His insightful analysis of political interactions is masterful.
A 'Must Read'.

But I would rephrase your comment---
<<<"...The politicos of all flavors ALWAYS vote their pocketbook..."<<<

I think it would be more accurate to say---
The politicos of all flavors Always vote and promote their own SELF-INTEREST.

(Which is often the same thing, but not always)

regards,
diana
