Wasen't that a great article! And Henry sure sounds like a fascinating individual. Another article I read said that some people who have worked with him for years do not know if he has any children or not, and this one said employees often do not know where he is, nor do they know where he lives - but he's always working, and they can contact him by email. Yes, that was a good article. And Henry is clearly eccentric, irregular, and unconventional. The article explained to my satisfaction why Gemstar, a media company, has not had a website even in Y2K, and why "investor relations" has not been found to be helpful to investors. To the good, it's reassuring that we're invested in a company led by a CEO like Henry, who is truly dedicated 24/7, and who is apparently extraordinarily bright. The article poses the question, can an unconventional, recluse kind of guy, lead a $30 billion company and turn it into a $300 billion company. Yes, I know he's done fine now, and yes, my money says he can. But it's an interesting question. Are the skill sets that take your company from $3 billion to $30 billion, the same that are needed for the trip from $30 billion to $300 billion? Apollo
