The case against Ledford was settled a few days before the trial was to start, and the two plaintiffs in this suit got paid. We also sued and got judgement against some others in the ECO2 soap opera , and we are attempting, through attorneys we hired in Florida to collect on those judgements. I get a kick out of the folks who come here on this thread, and either whine about their losses, or act as if they suddenly came out of a cave. If you will recall, I posted dozens of messages here, on AOL and elsewhere in an effort to make the shareholders aware of what was apparent to me, and to try to convince them to act as a group in seeking a remedy. What a thankless (and indeed, useless) task that was. I did everything but beg the other shareholders of ECO2 to join together in a class action or other group suit, and was even willing to waive attorneys fees. In fact, the only thing I asked the shareholders to do was to join with me in setting up a fund to cover out-of-pocket costs on a pro-rata basis. However, with only rare exceptions, the shareholders said they did not want to cover the out-of-pocket costs of litigation (e.g., deposition transcripts, court and printing fees, etc.) even if their share would be quite reasonable when split amongst all of the other injured shareholders who potentially would join the action. The shareholders to whom I spoke said they did not want to throw good money after bad--and some actually said they believed the stock would come back. Accordingly, I saw no further reason to try to be a generous, good citizen for the benefit of shareholders who rejected my offer of help. They sat on their rights, and watched their losses become permanent. Now the thread knows how my part of the story ended.
