I don't think I'd hold my breath for analyst Kumar's next opinion on the semis. I wonder where he gets his information, especially in light of the following report:

"Shareholders ……………………. ignored a report from the Semiconductor Industry Association that worldwide sales of chips surged to a record $17.3 billion in July, up 50 PERCENT from the same month a year earlier.

A positive analyst report from Merrill Lynch on the outlook for semiconductor sales also failed to shore up demand for the stocks.
