OT.....Worse than that--I think I had overestimated my own skill at this game. What has me rattled lately is the realization that I only outperformed BTK during a very short period--this past Novemember through February. Happily I outperformed the index by an awfully wide margin. I made no money Jan-Oct '99, and I have not quite tracked the index this spring and summer. I've also noticed that I tend to pin myself in on a crazy notion--whether it be 'Tgen will be the leader in GT five years from now' Or cnsi will be bought out for $3-$5 (oops). Those were just silly guesses, who am I kidding. Anyway, enough ramblings for now--what am I going to do about it. Well I've taken myself up to 60% cash while I sort of re-think the whole process. If the sector continues to romp, I still have enough in there to be a part of it, and there is even a chance that my remaining biotech stocks will be big winners...but my confidence is lower than it was a month ago.
