Tommaso, Just kidding about your anatomy <g> say- You should be aware that African Nationals overwhelmingly support George Bush, Jr. I posted an article on this thread about four days ago on all of the Somalis who are calling for Bush's election and Gore's defeat.

In Africa (and that includes the Sudan) the Republicans have a large reputation for engagement and involvement that Democratic Administrations lack.

The Clinton-Gore Administration has been idly standing by while hundreds of thousands were killed in Rwanda in 1994; idly standing by while a civil war raged in the Congo in 1998-99; idly watching civil wars in Liberia and Sierra Leone; and of course idly standing by while millions are killed even right now through gross human rights abuses in the Sudan.

So no. I find it entirely consistent to support resolution of human rights issues in the Sudan and George Bush, Jr. for President. I served in two Administrations. And from my experience Mssr Bush exhibits those intangible qualities that make for superior leadership.

He may or may not get elected but he has "the right stuff"....And if Mssr. Gore is elected I expect the civil war to continue to drag on in the Sudan with hundreds of thousands more Africans killed....

And for a final word, if Mssr. Bush were smart he'd put an accounting firm on tallying the total cost of all of the progams that Al Gore has proposed.

Right now I estimate (unofficially) that Mssr. Gore has already exceeded the proposed federal FY 2001 budget by about 16%. That gap needs to be closed- Either by cutting promised programs ...or raising taxes.....
