I've got a comment.

I have always said that it's just a matter of time. Not just JNPR but everyone is gunning for CSCO's market share. Competition will continue to increase and margins will suffer. When the pooling rules are changed CSCO won't be able to just go and buy companies like ARPT with out shareholders realizing the price they pay to kill competition. 10 billion in goodwill is a lot to pay for R&D for web switches.

If it wasn't for pooling CSCO would have to really account for it's acquisitions of the last few years. The result of the accounting change would be that CSCO would be reporting a net loss right now. Shareholders would then realize that growth through acquisitions at any price is not good for their stock. Dilution, dilution, dilution.
