Do you think VSEA's SLAPP against free speech helps the VSEA stock price?
BTW: The third Case Management Conference for the Varian (VSEA & VAR), Susan B. Felch & George Zdasiuk SLAPP lawsuit has been scheduled for 24 October 2000 in Santa Clara County Superior Court. That would be the very earliest a trial date would be set. So, expect more and more interesting news about the despicable SLAPP plaintiffs and their unethical Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe attorneys as more discovery gets underway.
Be careful who you SLAPP!

LOOKS LIKE VSEA GOING DOWN AGAIN!
WHAT A SLAPP!

FALCON: Do you consider Mike Delfino a dirty old man?

FELCH: No.

FALCON: Do you consider anybody a dirty old man?

FELCH: Pretty general question.

McMAHON: Vague, overbroad. You can answer the question.

FALCON: Anybody at Varian.

McMAHON: Objection, vague. You can answer the question.

FELCH: Not that I can think of.

FALCON: Has anybody tried to hit upon you in the dating sense or --

FELCH: Dating sense?

FALCON: At Varian.

McMAHON: Objection, vague.

FELCH: No.

McMAHON: You can answer the question.

FALCON: Okay. Taking a look now at G 9, the next page, do you know -- well, let me first ask, anything in here that caused you a loss of reputation?

FELCH: Yes.

FALCON: And what portions or all of it or -- can you specify?

FELCH: Basically the whole thing, the whole message.

FALCON: Okay. Has anybody ever told you that you talk too much, other than your lawyer? That's a joke.

McMAHON: Object. I think she said that to me. Objection, vague, overbroad. You can answer the question.

FELCH: Not that I can recall.

FALCON: Q. Have you ever cried at work in front of others?

McMAHON: Objection, vague, overbroad. You can answer the question.

FELCH: I believe there were probably a few occasions, yes.

FALCON: Is that because of some sad event occurring?

McMAHON: Overbroad. You can answer the question.

FELCH: I think that they were emotional or stressful situations.

FALCON: Some work issue?

FELCH: Yes.

FALCON: Has anybody criticized you in the way you dress while at work?

FELCH: No.

FALCON: The phrase "Ron thinks you're nuts," do you know who the Ron is that they are referring to?

FELCH: I believe we answered that in the last deposition.

McMAHON: You can answer it again.

FELCH: Ron Powell.

FALCON: And Dave?

FELCH: Again, that was --

McMAHON: You can answer the question.

FELCH: Dave Hodul.

FALCON: The crying at work, did you ever cry during a performance review or salary raise -- lack of salary or raise of salary in front of either Dave Hodul, Burleigh Cooper or Ron Powell?

McMAHON: Objection, vague, overbroad, private. You can answer the question.

FELCH: That might have occurred, yes.

VSEA down 10% and falling like a rock!

Duker, any idea if there will be a multi-million dollar class action suit filed against the four despicable SLAPP plaintiffs - VAR, VSEA, Susan B. Felch and George Zdasiuk?

Duker?
Do you think Athole knows about this?

WOW - 12% and still falling like a rock!

Has Varian surrendered those 800 hours of not-so-secret anymore invasive bathroom videotapes?

More pictures of another employee inside the bathroom, eh Brian? I sure hope it isn't any children!

You know - the ones made with Susan B. Felch's hidden videocamera. Pretty sick, eh Duker?

"No Semiconductor Slowdown Ahead"

biz.yahoo.com

Mr. Aurelio believes we are "in the early stages of the cycle"

In reference to rumblings of a PC slowdown "we don't see what the financial analysts are reporting."

"Memory yet to kick in"

"Japanese spending has been nonexistent for the past several years but is now starting to pick up."

Sees rev of ~900M for '01 assuming 40% market share and expect to AT LEAST maintain their current market share.

Margins have room for improvement- target 50%

"Very comfortable" with consensus EPS estimates
