Well, I was holding some of them when energy was at those levels, but you are right, I would rather be out. So maybe that explains the caution on the part of others. About half of what I own has institutional holders. Here's what I have now: HGT, TLM, BPT, SBR, PBT, MMX, LOILY, XTO, KWK, KP, PRS, PRZ and then the really far out: AXL.TO, TYK.V, NQLa.TO, and even a very small stake in AVVPP. Kind of like a menagerie, isn't it?

I forgot: MND, EOG, THX.

JQP, that question is the cornerstone of my stock selection process in this sector.

Working quite well thusfar, as I've got a triple in my energy sector equity holdings so far this year, thanks in part to the wealth of ideas floated on this thread. Have been selling winners as the reach "fair" value and rotating to more undervalued situations, with profits often going into hi-yield stuff.

Unfortunately, I haven't been extremely overweighted in this sector (still envious of your panache). Trying to keep it at about 1/3 of my equities positions which is just under 15% of my net worth.

Starting to see more frequent increased well density filings for my Anadarko Basin acreage. May be that plans are to step up drilling activity.
