No leaf color here yet but the leaves on the willows are getting smaller. The greens are less intense. Of course 50 at night is also a change.

Well, there was frost on the old pumpkin around here last night... (-:

Have quite a few red leaves on the maples out front. The hummingbirds are just about all gone...which is about 10-13 days earlier than usual by the record I've been keeping for several years now. A lot of people in a field naturalist group that I belong to up here are saying that the birds have begun marshalling and moving on south earlier than usual. Very cold winds coming straight out of the north for the past couple of days which makes me none too happy. However, not much that can be done... What can't be cured, must be endured...
