Tony, RE: I wonder why the retort by Intel was so "underpublicized." Ask Intel. The 'retort' wasn't issued through any newswire. BTW, John, Kumar was at Intel for 3 years.

Tony, RE: Intel spokesman Tom Beerman, however, said he expected the quarter to be strong and that the company's outlook was unchanged. Thanks. Somehow, I thought we'd hear something from Intel, even if there was no official press release or publicized retort. dmf

Tony, CNBC had a guy on from Tech Data (second largest US computer distributor, I believe). He was asked about PC demand in light of the Kumar downgrade, and said he had seen no fall off in demand. Just one data point, from US corporate market, but it supports the argument that demand is still strong. John
