Dell no longer breaks out the results from the venture cap side>>> It seems like if anyone takes business 101, they would study how Johnson & Johnson handled the Tylenol situation. When there is bad news, deal with it...don't hide it (eg Firestone and Ford). DELL had 3 Flat quarters to change the perception of 70% annual growth and earnings rate. Target new growth and earnings rate that you are positive that you could achieve. Increasing sales by 5,6,7...$B a year is still a great story and terrific business model. Earnings from venture cap should be used as icing on the cake. MSD is a real savvy guy. I am sure he understands all this. What am I missing? Mary
