Bela Fleck and the Flecktones! I used to have one of their records, but swapped it around. That was in the early 80s, my ear wasn't as sophisticated then as it is now. <g>

I remember they had an odd sound, it kind of jarred me at the time. I was more interested in the pure bluegrass sound in those days. That is one record I'd like to have back. I've come to appreciate more exotic and idiosyncratic music since then.
