I wonder how you Gore supporters can believe his lies. I opened the yahoo article about his detailed plan and the first thing I read was a flat out lie.

dailynews.yahoo.com

<- Democratic presidential nominee Al Gore (news - web sites) unveiled an economic plan on Wednesday detailing how he would use a projected record surplus of $4.6 trillion over the next decade to primarily help the middle class and maintain the robust economy for all. The proposal sets 10 goals. They include: eliminating the federal debt by 2012 while balancing the budget each year, raising middle-class family income by one-third, bringing the poverty rate to below 10 percent for the first time and doubling the families who have at least $50,000 in savings.>

The national debt happens to be $5.6 trillion, yet he projects a $4.6 trillion surplus. If he placed the entire surplus toward the debt, there would still be a $1 trillion debt. That would allow no other additional spending for his multitude of spending proposals. Can someone please explain?
