Thanks for posting the Yozan link. I just took a quick look at their W-CDMA chip architecture. Looks like they're working on a 2-chip solution that is comparable to a 1997 vintage MSM. They have a bunch of FPGAs right now that they are obviously targeting to a 2-chip modem. I bet Q could take the msm3100 or msm3300 and modify it to perform the same thing as Yozan's 2-chip product and much more in a much shorter period than it would take Yozan to complete their fpga to ASIC migration.
