The Europeans are going to sit there and watch the world go by while they bemoan the money they put into unnecessary 3G bandwidth

To make matters worse the old EU bankers (NOK and ERICY) have already made it known that they don't intend to finance infrastructure. The EU service operators will take notice when they reach deep into their pockets for large bills only to find loose change. At that time (sooner than later) the EU operators will start to question the recommendations (gprs/edge/w-cdma) of their former bankers (nok and ericy), especially when there is competition, ROI considerations and no flexible financing available.

In addition, the Eastern Europe countries operating at 450mhz will start implementing 1xmc for 3g performance -while parts of England patiently wait for 2007 based on guaranteed promises from NOK for 2.4 mbps capacity.

NOK and ERICY reputation will ultimately be tarnished as a result of their recommendation. FWIW.
thanks
