Difficult to run a surplus
It's difficult to run a surplus when you are spending billions on non-working defense porkbarrels, and gifts from the treasury to your HUD buddies, and giving away mining, and loggin, and grazing rights for pennies. Oh, and cutting off the revenues at the same time.

Good point Les. I missed the top but did get 18% on a CD. The bank called and asked if I wanted to use some of that money to pay off my 6 3/4 home loan.
