When one considers the Community Reinvestment Act are the short gold positions of the banks really in the best interest of the American People or simply the bankers?

If gold demand grows, or the US dollar falls, or the miners don't continue to produce at current rates, or Central Banks don't continue the loans & sales, or Kuwait simply begins to follow Islamic law & calls for return of their reserves - What then? Bank Failures?
