Based on current growth projections, when will sun reach 30 billion in sales?

I have absolutely no idea and I'm usually too lazy to go care. But since you ask, I'll bother. Lets see. Projected growth rate 24% (way low given the recent 38% jump over the last year, and 60%plus in the last quarter but anyway)

Last years revenues $15,720,766K

So in three years (assuming these numbers) sales will be at $29973589.753984K, close enough to 30. But, lets project based on last quarter alone: $5,016,598K growing at 34.06% per year (and simplify this to 8.515% per quarter since I don't have a spreadsheet handy) and voila: Revenue for the coming year $22772917.48044675K, and at 38% compounding to $31426626.123016515K by the next year. All of which is totally meaningless, since things never work out as you expect. I'm sure some of the more numerate accounting people on this thread will be able to calculat the numbers to better than the micro-dollar amounts above.

What's so spooky about $30B (apart from being just more than half of Bill Gate's Net Worth web.quuxuum.org

I don;t know, but you know what? Guiness sales have dropped for the fist time in thousands of years. --- It's just as well. At some point, they're going to run out of peat bog. <g> -JCJ
