Jon Cave,
Gold stocks, yes, the XAU is moving up while the gold is off a bit, usually a good sign.

Bridge is showing NG at 5.06 and Unleaded and HO at .9975

Must be API party time??

Now I AM off to saw tree wood.

Best Regards,

Roebear

Jon,

Core lab provides reservoir evaluation services for oil and gas producers. This involves core analysis, where the petrophysical properties of core samples from reservoir sections (and others) are evaluated. It also may involve simulation runs based on the data gained from physical samples.

Core lab also provides well site analysis and monitoring service, or they did when I talked to them about 20 years ago, looking for work.

In addition I believe they also provide reservoir numerical simulation for the purpose of reservoir reserve estimation.

They have had several had abrupt price crashes in their history which, to my untrained eye, have always been suspicious in the fact that they occur before the news comes out over the general purpose wire. It has made me look askance at the stock, because it was apparent that the selloffs were preciptated by those who were privy, at best, to premium information sources that are out of my range. I'm specifically NOT saying 'insider' here, more on the 'whisper stocks' level and so forth. It looks to me like it's a mo-mo favorite.

Nonetheless, I have had my eye on it since it crashed to the 16 level some months ago. Anybody else care to comment?

Regards and good luck,

Aggie
