Actually, Alomex, it did not report cuts of $40M - these layoffs are part of the same plan that saw the June 8 layoffs. The headlines have been misleading in that regard. $11M of the the $40M was cut in June, these layoffs account for $4-$6M of that $40M. With attrition, it is supposed to add to $18M. The remaining $22M are to come from administrative, sales, and advertising costs.

On the other hand, when was the last time that an analyst had something this positive to say about Corel:

Stewart added. ``It's actually a positive,'' he said. ``Corel is behaving like a good, normal company.''

Cowpland should have left a long time ago.

Today I increased my short position 30%.

An ascending triangle may have something to do with it..
