I can see how you can get fed up with this market. But I will hang in there. In the long run it should be the best place to be. But I am with you. This market can be hazardous to your portfolio. I read this article "Analysts in disarray" on the front of SI. That poster got it right. I still believe that you should not be able to sell a stock you don't own. That would cut down on this insane trading. I never did understand how you can sell something you don't own. Semis are up today. I also can't believe how seasoned investors, money managers and fund managers hang on every word some of those analysts spew out. Sometimes I wonder if some of those analysts have all their marbles in the right place. But then again, all their up and down calls make money for their houses. Energy policy. Yes, there is none. It is starting to hurt in the heartland. I don't know. I think that the Republicans are better in that department. You just cannot sit here and do nothing. You just have to do more drilling on your own. You can't just rely on foreign energy. No matter how you go ahead to come up with more energy here, anything is better than nothing. But this administration just about shut down energy exploration here. The Congress can pass all the bills they want to but what good is it when everything gets vetoed what the President does not like. Makes you wonder how almost 600 members of Congress and the Senate labor and one man can nix it. The last bill Clinton vetoed was supported by a lot of Dems but an override is probably not possible. Estate tax. Rich people deserve to pay taxes twice, I guess. Luckily I am not in that category, otherwise I would be sounding off a lot more. gg. Anyhow, the NAZ is not doing too bad today. It's the Dow's turn. Dow, the company, is down today. They mentioned that the company was surprised that the higher energy prices are now hurting after all. Earlier on they didn't think it would matter. Duh. We are leaving Seattle for a weekend trip to Victoria. Looking forward to that. The weather was great so far but now that we are going sightseeing, the weather looks like it may be turning. Rain is expected for this weekend. Glad to see better weather in the East. Maybe my son will cut the grass. gg. Sonny
