(re)Tired Views...(66).....OK....
Mankiller home at last.......<g>

S T I L W E L L, Okla., Sept. 6 — Gloria Steinem, the
feminist icon who once dismissed marriage as an
institution that destroys relationships, is a
first-time bride at the age of 66.
Steinem, the co-founder of Ms. magazine, married
South African-born entrepreneur David Bale, 61, in rural
Oklahoma on Sunday.
“Though I’ve worked many years to make marriage more
equal, I never expected to take advantage of it myself,”
Steinem said in a release issued by Voters for Choice, a
political action committee she helped create.
“I’m happy, surprised and one day will write about it, but
for now, I hope this proves what feminists have always said
— that feminism is about the ability to choose what’s right at
each time of our lives.”

Ceremony at Sunrise
The small ceremony attended by close family and friends
took place in the Adair County home of Wilma Mankiller,
former chief of the Cherokee Nation and Steinem’s friend,
said Nicole Vandenberg, a Voters for Choice board member.
It was conducted at sunrise by an Oklahoma judge and
Charlie Soap, a Cherokee spiritual person and Mankiller’s
husband.
During the ceremony, the word “partners” was
substituted for “husband and wife.”
Steinem and Bale, the father of Shaft and American
Psycho actor Christian Bale, met in October 1999 at a Voters
for Choice benefit in Los Angeles, Vandenberg said. Bale is a
longtime supporter of the group.
An anti-apartheid activist at an early age, Bale has lived
mostly in England, the release said. There, he worked as a
pilot and among other projects helped import the first
skateboards to the country. Bale moved to Los Angeles in
1990.
Steinem, who grew up in Toledo, Ohio, authored books
including Outrageous Acts and Everyday Rebellions and
Revolution from Within.
The couple plans to divide their time between New York,
where Steinem is a consulting editor to Ms. magazine, and
Bales’ work and home in Los Angeles, the release said.
But don’t look for Steinem to trade her Ms. for a Mrs.
She’ll keep her name, Vandenberg said.

EXTR volume today EXTREMELY light. Just what you'd want to see on a down day (only 1/4 point) in a terrible NAZ. EXTR volume today was almost half of the average daily volume. Gives me alot of confidence. No big money wanting to take it down. Any one know what the final volume on the was for the NAZ today?

Hey Voltman. Just got back from a little stress reduction therapy..... a nice ride on my Kawasaki Vulcan 750 ;-) Nothing like hitting the back roads & cruising along thru rural/suburban western PA. Rode until my butt hurt.

Hit a little milestone on the bike today..... turned it over 5,000 miles...... for some reason you & RR came to mind.... made me smile.

The nice part about the ride to 5,000 on the Kawasaki..... it only goes forward <ggg>.

Tom,

Curiosity is getting to me....RMBS. Are you covering? I know you like having 1/2 covered and letting the other half ride. Is this your position now with rmbs, or do you see such a big upward movement after FUD and lawsuits settle that you are leaving them uncovered? If you are covered, what month's and strike's do you have?

I grabbed some rmbs at $71, write aug 75's and let it get called. Bought back at $84, waited til it hit about $89 and then wrote the sept 90's. Bought more at 92....bought more at $88, and none of it is covered. Anyway, With rmbs at $75-$80, obviously I am not getting a decent premium unless I write atm between $75 - $80. If I do this, and if rmbs moves, I will have to roll up and out, due to my higher initial cost. Leting them get called at $80 means I lose, or come close to breaking even due to premium received. I aint in this market to break even, or lose!.

My dilema is this....I could pick up a few grand by writing the oct $80's right now, but I dont want to give the stock away at $80. The dilema is the time os year. Part of me is saying this will be a rough 6 - 8 weeks, and I should cover everything, at the money. The other part of me says as soon as I do that, this market takes off....and with issues like rmbs and sndk, a little news could move them upward in a big way..........so I sit and ponder what to do.

My guess is you recommend I cover half and worry about it at expiration, but any thoughts will be appreciated.

Thanks, as usual...
