That risk taker is the only reason any of those people have a job. Without them you'd be running in the wild or farming your government plot of land in the world you envision. They wouldn't have shit if it weren't for the entrepreneur. You make a helluva lot of assumptions for an ignorant union man.knc

flapjack, if you think Al Gore has anything whatsoever in common with the people you mentioned. Or cares one-wick for helping them, you're delusional.

"The real heroes..." You are so shallow.

"the divorced moms..." Broken families, the overwhelming crisis of single parents raising children who are not equiped to enter adulthood is a result of the leftist agenda to liberate people from the interdependency of the solid and effective lifestyle which involves a core family and extended family. The role models you want to hold up on a pedistal represent failure. The heroes are those women who have toughed out difficult relationships and made them work so that thier kids have the proper resources and support while growing up.

" ....the people who sit in the bleachers at Wrigley Field" so, since you eliminated the successful business men from this scenario, you must be refering to the dead beats who are living on a fixed income and laying about bragging of something that happened fifty years ago. Everyone from that decade shares the same legacy, some of them were role models who worked hard and helped to create the opportunities you and I are benefitting from today. Some of them are winos who don't give a dang about anybody else but figure they are entitled to our support because of the decade in which they happened to turn eighteen.

"...first-generation Americans..." I know many. Do you? Almost all of them are here for materialistic reasons and openly admit to have sacraficed human values and principle to get here.

"They're the guy down the street..." You don't want to meet up with the guys down the street in my neighborhood. You must be talking about your safe yuppie haven.

I am all for the working class hero. You don't have a clue about us. Why do you think anyone would fall for your transparent snow jobs.
