Some fellows I know; some wiggy hackers in the city (SF) were staging a prank in Union Square awhile back. I don't know how it went, or even if it did for sure, but the plan was to hold a 'Pigeon Eaters' political rally to raise public awareness about the fine edibility of 'pigeon', passing out flyers and little toothpick samples on paper plates (actually pieces of chicken from KFC) while several BBQs were going near the pigeon traps (with live pigeons inside for effect), infering that they were catching the Union Sqare pigeons right there and grilling them on the spot. --- Additionally, there was to be some sort of auxilliary counter demonstration by people (from the same group) protesting the pigeon eaters animal cruelty. <g> -JCJ
