To set the record straight. My argument was not against privatization. On the contrary my argument is against those individuals who think govt. is out to get them. Some of them are insane to the level that they stockpile on Guns, Gold, Canned food and undergo survivalist training. Trust me guys you have one of the best form of government and a rock solid foundation. Then why the paranoia?? Private corporations do not have the accountability as an elected government does. Elected govt. loses power if it fails. OTOH private corp do cost benefit analysis of their activities. In case of Firestone, it backfired.. The best solution is clever combination of good govt. and privatization. Any extremes are bad. BTW: I car pool. I use the internet developed by the military (not Al Gore <g>). And I prefer a medium size car over SUV or any other gas guzzler. I own such car and I always rent one similiar. Also I invest...
